Jeronimus and six sons and three daughters

Note for:   Joris(Georges) Janssen De Rapalje,   28 APR 1604 - ABT. 1665
There have been differences in the research that has been done on the Rappleye
line. One difference is the spelling of the names. One other differnce of more
importance is that of showing a different line going back from Jeremiah
Rappleye (1743) to Jeronimus Rapalje (1643).
No one knows for sure which is correct, so I chose to use the one that I
had on my PAF records first, but have included family group sheets and a
pedigree chart showing the other line in my printout book. These records were
printed out from the Ancestral File at the Family History Center, with notes
included from a family genealogist, Irma Snow of Utah. She indicated that no
one is certain which information is correct, but Temple work has been done for
those on both lines. There is also confusion as to who the father of Joris was.
One record, which is the one I have used, shows him to be the son of Jean
Raparaillet. The other is a vague description of a descendency from a
Gaspard de Colte Rapalje. This record shows Joris as having been born in 1572,
which makes him about 33 years older than his wife, which is one reason I have
chosen to use the other record. I have this written history in my file.

Note for:   Jared or Jarret Cherry,   ABT. 1791 -
Jared married Sally Holland, 21 Jan. 1816.

Note for:   William Williamson,   1637 -
William Willemson came to New Amsterdam from Holland on the ship "Concorde" in
1657. There are in New York some documents in his own hand with the spelling
in his name as it is here.

Note for:   Pieter Classen Wyckoff,   ABT. 1620 - 1694
Information on this family was found in a book at the Family History Center
that added information to that which was originally on the family group sheet
given to me by other family members. There were 10 children listed on that
sheet and the book (Bible Records, Misc. Family Data of New Jersey and New
York, call number U.S. NJ V29 1) listed 11 children. Some of the names were
different than the ones on my sheet, and some on my sheet were not listed. I
have added the new ones to my sheet, and have left the original names on the
family group sheet, thus there are 12 children on the sheet. Temple work has
been done for all, and all were sealed to parents.

Note for:   Steven Coerte VAN VOORHEES,   ABT. 1610 - 16 FEB 1683/84
Steven Coerte Van Voor Hees emigrated in April 1669 from Holland to Flatlands,
Long Island. The name of his first wife and the mother of all his children is
  unknown.

Notes

Note for:   Mary King,   1610 - 7 DEC 1654
Mary was the widow of Thomas King when she married James Cutler. The IGI shows
an additional child for this family and shows that she was sealed to the
parents. The problem is that her birth date is after the death date shown on
our family group sheet of the mother. The daughter, Joanna, has been added to
this family group sheet just in case of an error in the dates.
