     MARRIAGE: Certified copy of marriage certificate in possession of Judith Rittenhouse, 2434 E. Contessa, Mesa, AZ 85213. Marriage performed for Ephraim Johnson Brown and Maria Sturgeon on April 23, 1841, by W. Hervey C.D.M. (Minister of the Gospel), Knox Co., Ohio.

WILL: Ephraim Johnson Bown's will made 3 Feb 1883, probated 4 Sep 1883, and recorded in Will Record Book 1, pp. 149-150, in Wayne County, Iowa (copy in possession of Judith Rittenhouse).

OCCUPATION: Was a retired sheriff.

RELIGION: Presbyterian according to Susan Lamb Griffith.

~ORDINANCES: Ephraim Johnson Brown was cleared for temple ordinances in 2001 and the following were performed in the Arizona Temple: Baptism 27 Nov 2001; confirmation on 27 Nov 2001; and Initiatory on 28 Nov 2001. Ordinances were again cleared for work in 2003 and the following were performed in the Arizona Temple: Baptism on 29 May 2003; confirmation on 29 May 2003; initiatory on 19 Jul 2003; and endowment on 19 Aug 2003.
