Individual Note: MARRIAGE: Weldon Lamb & Elizabeth Rittenhouse were married secretly on 27 Aug 1938 in Independence, Missouri. Later they had a church wedding on 3 Jan 1939 at St. Paul's Episcopal Cathedral in Oklahoma City, OK. (A certified copy of the first marriage certificate was sent to each of their three children to tell them this family secret on 27 Aug 1976.)
WILL: Jones Weldon Lamb disowned his children in his last will and testament of September 1981. He left his earthly items to his sister Mayo Norman and his five grandchildren: Thomas Weldon Tucker, April Elizabeth Tucker, Lewis Weldon Beard, Molly Catherine Lamb, and Loren Tyner Lamb. All court documents are located in the Civil Court, Greenwood, Leflore County, Mississippi.
~TEMPLE WORK: Kenneth & Marcia Hardison were proxies for Weldon & Elizabeth when they were sealed to their daughter Judith Rittenhouse on 10 Aug 1983. Junius Gibbons was proxy for Weldon, Woodie, and Virgil Waleen when they were sealed to their parents on 7 Mar 1992; Weldon's daughter Judith was proxy for his mother Nora and George Hoxsie was proxy for his father Jones Houston. Kay Hoxsie was proxy for Annie Valo's sealing to her parents.
~ORDINANCE INDEX: Someone else also performed Weldon's baptism and endowment in the Jordan River Temple so it was probably Parlie Hocking. Since he had Daddy's birth date incorrectly entered, it would have cleared for temple work. This birth date was listed as 16 Aug 1915. The baptism was performed 16 Mar 1988 in the Jordan River Temple. The endowment was completed 29 Mar 1988 in the Jordan River Temple.

BURIAL: Tonbstone dates 26 Aug 1915 to 2 Apr 1982. Susan Lamb Griffith submitted a "Cemetery Index Addendum" to Greene Co.,(AR) Historical and Genealogical Society about May 1991 because this grave was omitted from their survey yet marked. She notes, "This is my father. He is buried in the Lamb Section of the Cemetery. However a double marker with the name of "Peterson" is centered on the double marker. He is buried under the right side of the marker and his brother-in-law, Thomas Peterson, is buried under the left side of the marker. (See AR:CEM 1s.) This is in Linwood Cemetery. He refused to be buried with his wife Elizabeth Rittenhouse Lamb who was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Have picture with others in Linwood Cemetery, Paragould, Arkansas.

~TEMPLE WORK: April Tucker, granddaughter, did baptism for Elizabeth. Daughter Judith Rittenhouse did endowment work. Marcia and Kenneth Hardison, one of our home teachers, were proxies for Elizabeth and Weldon when Judith was sealed to them. Parley Hocking had Elizabeth Rittenhouse sealed to her parents; he lived in the Jordan Temple district.
BIRTH: Elizabeth's passport # 273915 is proof of birth since birth not recorded at time of event.
DEATH: Copy of Certificate of Death #123-81-14439 from Mississippi State Board of Health, Office of Public Health Statistics, Vital Records, in possession of daughter Judith Rittenhouse.
INTERNMENT: Buried in Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with brother and grandparents Alfred Scott and Sarah Bunting Hocking. When her husband Jones Weldon Lamb died, he was buried in Linwood Cemetery, Paragould, Greene, Arkansas, per his request not to be buried with his wife. His sister Mayo Lamb Norman carried out his wishes. Jon, Susan, and I laughed and said we'd go back and dig him up and move him to be with Mother. Through the years, however, we have left her alone in peace.
CHRISTENED: Dec 1918 in the First Presbyterian Church, Chandler, Lincoln, Oklahoma, by Rev. Davis Thomas of Perry, Oklahoma.
