Individual Note:
     BIOGRAPHY: David lived in Minnesota from about 1880-1923 and probably married Sina Selma Johnson Andersen in Bermidji, Beltrami, MN, where he homesteaded. His father's name was Michael LaFevre and his mother's maiden name was Brancheau. Sometime after his wife's death, David lived during the early l940's with his daughter Doris and her children. For many years David lived with Pearl Ohlankamp, his step-daughter, and her daughters Ruby and Pearl. He was blind and had never seen Pete Davis (Douvis, a Greek name was later changed to Davis) whom Ruby married. In his later years he had a cataract operation and went to Pete's bar to see him...said he would have known him anyplace. David lived at Ozenam Home on Ozanan St., Tacoma, WA, before his death. David had a brother Paul who had a dance studio; Opal used to know where he was.

DEATH: There is no headstone for David LeFebre at Mt. View Cem. where he is buried in Grave 2, Lot 6l.

DEATH CERTIFICATE: Certificate #493 for David LeFevre gives his father as Michael LeFevre and his mother's maiden name as Brancheau and gives his birthplace as Canada. The informant was hospital records.

OBITUARY: From Tacoma News Tribune on 28 Mar 1950: David LeFevre, 92, of 1611 So. Sheridan Avenue, died Sunday in a loca hospital. He was born in Valley Field, Canada, and came to the United States in 1880, farming in Minnesota until coming to Tacoma in 1923. He was a member of St. Leo's Parish. Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Dora Mottley of Tacoma; two stepsons J. F. and Peter A. Anderson; a stepdaughter Mrs. Bertha LaBounty, all of Tacoma; a sister, Mrs. Emma Strobel of Ohio, three grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The funeral announcement will be by Cassedy and Allen. Died 28 Mar 1950.

Mottley, (they rent, no radio, not on a farm), M, W, age 72, Fa-in-Law, M, W, age 72, Widowed, age 42 at first marriage, can read and write, he and parents born in Canada (Fr written lightly beside), Language spoken in home before coming to US was French Canadian, immigrated to US in 1859, naturalized, can speak English, no occupation.
