Individual Note: SPECIAL NOTE: "I think that the Ann Tiner who married Dennis Barnes in Tishomingo Co., MS on 11 Oct 1838 was probably the daughter of William H. Tyner, Sr. I also think that she married Dennis Barnes, Jr., rather than Dennis Barnes, Sr. as will be discussed later. If Ann Tiner did marry Dennis Barnes, Jr. then she would be his wife in the 1840 Census listed as being born between 1820-1825. She would then fit into the age category for the 1830 Census as being one of the daughters born between 1825-1830 to William H. Tyner, Sr. Here I must point out that if the Ann Tiner who married Dennis Barnes was born in 1825 then she would have only been about 13 years old in 1838 when she married Dennis Barnes. That does seem a little bit young for a marriage; however, keep in mind that girls did marry at younger ages in the 1830-1840 time frame. Also if she was the daughter of William H. Tyner, Sr., then her parents died between 1830 and 1840, and she would have been left an orphan. In that case it would have been much more acceptable for her to marry at age 13 in order to have a husband 'to take care of her' as was the mind set for this time period. In the 1840 Census, Dennis Barnes (Jr.) did have a young wife listed as between 15-20 years old. If this Ann Tiner was 13 years old in 1838 when she married Dennis Barnes, then she would only have been 15 years old in the 1840 Census and that does fit with Dennis Barnes (Jr.)'s wife being age 15-20 years old in 1840." His baptism and confirmation were repeated 24 Aug 2006 in the Arizona Temple after I had cleared him through the TempleReady program and in spite of having his baptism date on my PAF5.2.
