Individual Note: PROPERTY: Goodspeed's History of Greene Co., AR, pub. Oct. 1889: "Robert Dennis (born 9 June 1818, Tenn) arrived in Arkansas in 1837. He entered and purchased land in what is known as St. Francis Township and on this he lived and made improvements until about 1848, when he sold out and entered a tract of 40 acres on the west side of Crowley's Ridge, on which he lived ten years. This he sold and bought eighty acres in the same locality, clearing nearly the entire tract, and making many other improvements, and here resided until his death on the 20th of December, 1867, followed by his widow, February 14, 1881."

According to information by Pat Dennis given to Susan Lamb Griffith around 1994/95, Robert Dennis was run out from Ky to Ark for being a Mormon. Judith Rittenhouse was not able to locate him on any LDS records in the Historical Department or the Salt Lake Family History Library while she and her husband were on a mission there in 2000-2001.
CHILDREN: ERL's red book lists some children not in above census records: Wiley P. born 24 Mar 1852 d. 21 May 1887 (Tombstone, Mt. Zion Cem. Walcott, Greene Co., Ar); Mary E. born 1854; and Samuel J. born 1862. She has in ERL C35 a W. R. Dennis born 1869 which would be two years after his father's death.

CHILDREN: Middle names and dates came from familysearch.com family group record. Also gave Robert Dennis middle name as White.
~SEALING TO PARENTS: Ted Carpenter, Judith Rittenhouse, and April Tucker attended the sealing session and were able to personally do half of the women. We were there as the others were done with Ted being a witness.
