1900 CENSUS: Tilly Ryan Mottley listed on 1900 Census for Waitsburg, Walla Walla, Washington, with parents William and Mary Ryan and three sons for Enum Dist 86, Sheet 9. States she is mother of four with three living. According to son Percy Mottley's Death Certificate, his mother's name was "Ollie." This information was given by grandson David Mottley. David remembers an Uncle Art Vogel but is not sure to whom he was married; he also remembers a grandmother Vogel who had to be "Tilly." Also gives her birth in March 1870 in Iowa. Feb. 23, 2007, Judith saw on Ancestry.com that Bogel is the surname.
1920 Census for Tacoma Ward 4, Pierce, Washington. Allie Bogle, age 45, is a lodger at the Victory Hotel at 1927 S. E Street and Jefferson Avenue along with Arthur Bogle, age 11, and her son George Mottley, age 26.

GENERAL INFORMATION: George found on 1900 Census for Waitsburg, Walla Walla, WA, with mother Tilly Ryan and grandparents William & Mary Ryan, Enum Dist 86, Sheet 9. Dave Mottley, Nephew, remembers staying with Uncle George & Aunt Irene one summer about 1942; they later divorced. In doing research at Tacoma Public Library, Judith Lamb Rittenhouse Mottley found following information which may or may not belong to this George Mottley: a George W. Mottley married Sarah M. Ellsworth on 3 July 1922, License #33171, Book 16, p. 232. On 25 Aug 1927 a G. W. Mottley married Flora I. Patterson, #43077, Book 21, p. 16. A George L. Mottley died 5 Nov 1956; either from Aberdeen or Whitman, #20136. A George Mottley, Jr., Pierce Co., died 20 or 30 April 1932 at age 2 years. Dave's Uncle George was a veteran of World War I and was disabled.
