     Tommy and Jones Weldon Lamb practiced medicine together in Wynne, Ark, at Tommy's clinic with Mayo performing nursing. Weldon lived there from about 1946-1950. Tommy died in 1948 right before Susan Lamb's birth. Connie Tyner Foster had to chaperone Mayo and Tommy when they were dating. They argued so much she could never understand why they wanted to get married. According to Connie in the fall of l891, Tommy went to undergraduate college at Baptist College in Jonesboro. He moved to California for a while and returned to Paragould. Then Tommy was sent to medical school at the University of Kentucky by Dr. Lamb.

BURIED: Tommy is buried in the Lamb family plot in Linwood Cemetery, Paragould, Greene, Ark. My sister, Susan Lamb Griffith, submitted a Cemetery Index Addendum for registering unmarked graves or correcting possible errors to the Greene Co. (AR) Historical & Genealogical Society which lists birth & death dates and places, burial place, and marriage information. "This is my uncle. He was a brother-in-law to Jones Weldon Lamb listed above. They share a double marker with the name 'Peterson' in the center of the marker. They are buried in the Lamb Section of the Linwood Cemetery." According to Connie Tyner Foster in the fall of l99l, Valo and Annie Lamb were also moved there by Mayo Lamb Peterson Norman. FAMILY: According to Connie Tyner Foster, Tommy had a brother named Sabin Morris who had a veneral disease. He also had a sister Maple.

     NOTES: Woodie received his M.D. Degree in 1938 from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana.

MARRIAGE: MD (1) Jane Davis 28 Feb 1938 and divorced 13 Oct 1951.
        MD (2) Louise Schmuebecker on 13 Oct 1951 and divorced in 1967.
        MD (3) Alvia Nell Mobley on 15 Sep 1973, Jackson, Mississippi.

PAPERS: Letters and records in possession of Judith Rittenhouse, 2434 E. Contessa St., Mesa, AZ 85213. Vital statistical records from Greene Co., Arkansas. Copies of two obituaries: Greenwood, Mississippi, Commonwealth, 26 Feb 1981 where he died and Memphis, Tennessee, Clarion-Ledger on 27 Feb 1981, tells where he is buried at Tri-City Memorial Gardens in Florence, Alabama, where Nell will be buried also at her death.

TEMPLE WORK: REF: 8222402 10 S/N 00026-8 079 28 FOR BAPT & ENDW. Sealed to parents on 7 Mar 1992 in Arizona Temple with niece Judith standing as proxy for his mother.

Individual Note:
     Jane is daughter of Joseph Thomas Davis and his wife Laura May Strong. Divorced from Woodrow Lamb on 13 Oct 1951. Later in California she married Dr. Jim Nolan whom she had known in St. Louis while growing up.

DEATH: Jane died of bladder cancer. She was cremated and buried at sea by the Neptune Society.

     MARRIAGE CERT: Marriage license of Dr. Lamb and wife Nora Lee Tyner from Greene Co., Arkansas, court house in possession of Judith Rittenhouse. (Susan had them married on 6 Jul l904; Mother's red book on 3 Jul l904. Grandmoie's own biography written in her own handwriting says "married July 3, 1904 by the same man that baptized me, Rev J. D. J. Faulkner at my father home at Walcott Ark married on front porch house up on Hill at Walcott.") Turned out that the county's certified copy ordered by Susan had the incorrect date of 6 July 1904 when the marriage was actually recorded.

DEATH: Cert. from Arkansas State Board of Health, No. 321, listing cause of death as carcinoma of liver and parents as Bob Lamb and Clarinda Dacus in possession of granddaughter Judith Rittenhouse. Picture of tombstone in Linwood Cemetery shows his birth as 8 Feb 1879 and death as 21 Sept 1938.

Profession: Taught at Walcott before entering Central Medical College at Louisville, Kentucky, where he graduated in 1905. He practiced medicine at Beech Grove for 18 years before moving to Paragould in 1918. Past president of NE Arkansas Medical Society and Greene Co. Medical Society. Active member of First Baptist Church, Board of Directors of National Bank of Commerce, part owner of Lamb-Garner, Inc., Drug Firm, member of school boards at Beech Grove and Paragould. Dr. Lamb was called "Jones."

Norah L., wife, white, female, age 23, M1, 5, 1, 1, AR, TN, AR. Mayo, daughter, white, female, age 2, AR, AR, AR. Alvin GEORGE, servant, white, male, age 16, single, AR, IL, TN.

RESIDENCES: Raised by a sister after his mother died in 1886. Boarded with James McDonald Tyner and family while teaching in Walcott. Lived at 630 West Garland in Paragould, Arkansas.

Sealed to Parents: 16 Aug 1995 and 7 Mar 1992 Arizo.

RELIGION: Baptist.
