Text: In the Name of God Amen the Tenth Day of Aprile in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and five, I, Isaac Rittinghouse of the township of Amwell in the County of Hunterdon and State of New Jersey...Do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament...
Item. I give and Bequeath to my Dearly beloved Wife Susannah the whole and sole use and previlege of the West room and Stove in my house that I now live in and previlege in my kitchen Seller and Chambers and to be supported by my son's in every necessary neessary (sic) for her comfortable Living out of the produce of my homestead or plantation whereon I now live. Also I give and bequeath unto my said Wife One feather Bed bedstead and furniture for the same As she chooses and Also are ? to be kept by the Possesers of my Homestead and also an equal Dividend in Gold or Silver with each of my Daughters hereinafter named to her heirs and Asigns for Ever.
Item. I give and Devise to my three Sons Sanuel John and William to them their Heirs and Asigns for Ever all and singular the Plantation whereon I now live and also my meadow Lot in the township of Kingwood to be enjoyed by my said three son's Samuel John and William as Joint tenants or tenants in Common or to be divided as they can best agree. Also I give to my said three Sons Samuel John and William my Share in a fishery on the River Delaware known by the name of Snap ? fishery on Quinby's Island and likewise my share in the fish pound in Howell's Falls in Delaware river to them their Heirs and Asigns for ever they rendering and paying to my six Grand Children the Children of my son Elijah Rittinghouse Deceased five Pounds each the girls as they become Eigteen year's of age and the boy Twenty One.
Item. ...to my son Sanuel Rittinghouse...the Whole of my right title Interes Clame's or Demand in any wise belonging or in any wise appertaining to a Plantation Situate in the township of Hopewel it being the farm he now lives on he rendering and paying to my Daughter Sarah thirty nine Pounds in gold or Silver it being in Lieu of an outset and thirty Pounds of like money to my Daughter Susannah it being in Lieu of an Outset like wise. Also I give to each of my said Daughters Sarah and Susanah the Beds and furniture now owned by them as their own property and not to be included in any movable property.
Item. I give and bequeath to the Lawful Heirs of my Daughter Mary Hogland Deceased the sum of Eighty Pounds to be Equally divided amongst them and Paid to them as they come of age in gold or Silver money and also I will and Direct my Executors to put each Child's share that is under age out to use on good security and pay it to them as aforesaid principle and Interest.
Item. I do also give and bequeath to my Daughter Elizabeth Prall Wife of Cornelius Prall One Bond given to me by the said Cornelius Prall for the sum of Fifteen Pounds and bearing even Date the twenty third day of March in the Year of Our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and ninety five with the Interest and also ... to my said daughter Elizabeth the further sum of Seventy five Pounds to be paid at the Expiratin of One Year after my Decease and allso what I have heretofore given her.
Item. ...to my well beloved wife Susannah and to my four Daughters Namely Rachel Bray Wife of John Bray, My Daughter Sarah Single Woman, Amy the Wife of Benjamin Free, and Susannah single woman all the residue and remaindure of my moveable Estate not heretofore Disposed of to be sold by my Executors hereinafter named ...and the moneys arising from the sale to be equally divided between my said Wife and four Daughters share and share alike excepting my Daughter Amy Wife of Benjamin Free should die without ? then her share at or after her Death to be Divided among my surviving Daughters.
...appoint my trusty and Beloved Son Samuel Rittinghouse of the township of Hopewell and my trusty and beloved son in law John Bray of the Township of Kingwood my Executors of this my Last Will and Testament...
