Text: Chandler lost one of her most loved mothers and pioneer citizens in the death of Mrs. Louise J. Rittenhouse which occurred at her home on West Eighth Street Thursday morning following a stroke of paralysis Monday night. All of her children were at her bedside when death came as they had been notified of her dangerous condition soon after she was stricken. As we go to press no definite arrangements had been made for the funeral, but will possibly be Saturday afternoon. In the death of Mrs. Rittenhouse we fully and keenly realize our loss. She was a true friend, and her devotion to those she loved would make a bright chapter in any life. The history of Chandler could not well be written did it not contain a full account of the many civic duties performed by her for the good of the community during her long and eventful life among us. We expect to give a more extended obituary in our next issue of the News Publicist. We join the entire community in acknowledgment of the great loss Chandler has sustained in her passing and extend to the bereaved ones our deepest note of sympathy in their sad hour.
