Text:   In the 1900 Census, John Lamb Clements Sr. was listed as a merchant and the family lived in Cache Township, Greene County, which includes Walcott. In the spring of 1908, they moved to the dryer climate of Foss, OK, in an attempt to mend the health of their oldest child, Earl, who had tuberculosis. Foss is 12 miles west of Clinton, where John's double first cousin, Dr. Ellis Lamb and his wife, viola Newberry Lamb, had moved from Walcott in 1906 or 1907. In 1915, the Clements moved to Oklahoma City, OK and, a few years later, they returned to Walcott, leaving their grown children, Dick and Grace, in Oklahoma.
