Text: May God Bless You Always and Yours. I sure rejoice to know that you and your Sister and Brother will finish this book. That's just what your Beloved Mother wants you to do, I feel. With Love Again Parlie and Britta. Our Prayers will be with you Judith we want you to be comforted.
When Parlie and I go to the grave of Parlies first wife we sometime loke(sic) at a grave wher(sic) a baby is laid they have made a picture of the baby before she died she was only 2-3 months old and they have put her piture on the marker its protected from all kinds of weather and on the marker is written "All the Beautiful things remind us of you" and thats what you have to think of about Mother Love Britta.
13 August 1980
Dear Judith,
I surely thank You with all my heart for your most welcome letter received today When I bought your letter in from the mail box before I opened it up, I had a felling(sic) with in my self that Your dear beloved Mother had passed away and sure enough after I opened Your letter there it was in plain English "Mother passed away Sunday" when I read those sad words of Yours I could not keep the tears back. Sure Judith You are heart broken. Because I know that Your self and your Beloved Mother were close to one another. I also know how You had gone the second or third or even the fourth mile to help her. this only shows one thing as far as I am concerned and thats Love in a capital letter. This sad passing Judith you will never be forgoton(sic). My heart goes out to You. Because I know how you fell(sic) at this time. I have been through it and it realy(sic) hurt to lose a loved one. But please let us look at it from a different view. Your Beloved Mother was a great woman:(sic) Now she is all free of the pain and suffering of this world. there will be no more of such things. and You know as well as I do her sweet spirit is not dead, I should say not . Its only her poor worn out body thats dead and in the grave not her sweet spirit that has gone home to God. I know You do understand these things but I only wanted to mention it, You surely are most welcome for my prayers for her. I have prayed every day for her and wrote her name on the prayer roll every week except when the Temple was closed for two weeks it was a pleasure to do so for her she has more than went out of her way to help me on the genealogy. I know with out her help there are many of our people whos(sic) work has been done because of her precious help she gave me so I could get it done she knew what I wanted with it although she may not of understood every thing I will not forget what she has done she sure has done a great work in behalf of the dead. And God will never forget what she has done to help in behalf of the dead and God will surely bless her for all she has done. She was surely a great and a wonderful Woman. I have hoping we could meet her some day in this life. But it just was not intended to be that way. She surely has done a lot in behalf of our kindred dead. I will Write some letters to different ones to give them the sad news also. Because in as much she has gone home to God I want it to be known and that all her genealogy is in good hands Your hands and that You and Your brother and sister will try to finish the book. Certainly it will take time Judith to do it. But I know you are busy otherwise so are Your Sister and brother. thats all understandable. Judith I want to tell you it was a pleasure to work with my cousin Elizabeth all the years we worked together. After all I too have always been very interested in her book ever since she first wrote and told me what she wanted to do in publishing this book she was going to even bring me a copy of it to me. what more could Your Beloved Mother hope for as well as my self. there is no question in my mind but what God Will bless her. and You can rest assured as to that sure he will do just that and I would not doubt but what the ones that she has gone out of her way to help me so I could get their work done for them. that those people will thank her for what she has done in their behalf. thats my opinion of it of course I dont know personal. Now Judith You have my sympathy in this great lost and loosing Your Beloved Mother she depended upon her daughter Judith to keep her and You sure have done just that You could not of done more for her than you have and God will also bless you too. I know that and a million thanks for Your wonderful letter. I say wonderful because I was so glad to hear from you even if it did bring the sad news. And May Gods choisces(sic) blessings be with you always. Please write when You can Please and thank you for what you are going to do with the book Love Parlie & Britta
(note: This letter is typed just as Parlie had written it.)
