Text:   Letter dated 31 January 1967 from Mrs. David W. (Lena T.) McLellan to Judith Lamb Tucker: "...I'll list names and dates copied from Cousin wes Cook's family tree. ..Cousin Wes related to me that my great-great grandmother
(Lovis' too, of course) was a grand niece of King George III of England; that her parents left England because of religious persecution and that while at sea the mother died and was buried at sea. I am under the impression that the child was born during the ocean voyage and I assume the mother died soon
after the child (my great-great grandmother) was born.
The first Tucker (oldest one, I mean) that "Cousin Wes" told me about was Joseph Tudor Tucker; the Tudor name could easily have come from the royal family or House of Tudor. He says around 1798-1800 the family (Tucker) left
Rockbridge County, Virginia, moving to North Carolina, and then later to
Tennessee." Then the parents and children with only birth years and death years are given oon pages 5-10, beginning with Wesley Tucker and Caroline
Williams.
