Text:   ...Eliza Michels, daughter of James and Elizabeth Michels, married Jesse Bunting. Their children are; Alice C., born 1880; Cameron, born 18 October 1882, married Amy Hogue, no issue; Edith Mae, born 3 May 1885, married Stewart Russell and had a son, Charles Russell, who lives in Bradenton, Florida; Minnie Della, born 15 October 1888, married Allen E. Walker and had a son, Tom and a daughter, Patricia; Harold J., born 3 December 1890, married Elizabeth Allen and had a daughter, Mary Lou; Dennis Tribe Bunting, born 11 September 1893, married Lyndal Hilliard, who lives in Fairfield, Illinois. Eliza Michels Bunting used to tell her family stories of helping her father conceal slaves passing through via the 'underground railway' prior to the Civil War. She was later a teacher and attended school at Normal University in Normal, Illinois, as did her sister, Minnie, who later became associated with Jane Adams at Hull House in Chicago as an early social worker.
